Auction Raises $705 for Wildcare Inc.

Over the holiday weekend Jellystone Park Lake Monroe held a Bucket Auction to benefit Wildcare Inc.  Auction items were donated by the community and our generous campers were able to raise $705.00.  One hundred percent of the proceeds went to Wildcare Inc., aiding in medical bills and food for orphaned and injured animals from the Monroe County area.  Volunteers from Wildcare Inc brought in several of their animal ambassadors as an outreach program to help educate our campers on wildlife that they may see while camping.

WildCare Inc. was incorporated in the spring of 2001 to not only provide professional care to sick, injured, and orphaned wildlife so they may be returned to the wild, but also education outreach programs focusing on the value of sharing the planet with our wild neighbors. Formerly they were part of the Monroe County Humane Association (MCHA) until they refocused their mission to only servicing companion animals.
